Ok so Stampede started in Calgary last week. The Calgary Stampede is one of the World's biggest Rodeo's. It's got a large fairgrounds and a big parade and horses and Cowboys and Cowgirls. It's something that should be experienced at least once. Oh yeah it's got chuck wagon racing and bronco busting and all "them there hawse kindu thangs" hehe sorry.
What Stampede also signifies is the coming of Ben my 10 year old nephew for a two week stay. Now this usually entails movies, gaming (video, board and miniature) and a visit to some sort of theme park I "usually" haven't been to in a while. It's fun for Ben, me and "the goddess".
Training will be an issue. The weather has been great here the last few days. Twenty five and no humidity! For July that is about perfect. But with the nephew here I missed three days. I can't miss anymore. With food poisoning last week I did better! So I've only logged one six k this week and a shinny session and a coach troy (though it was sweating buckets) which is a step up from the beginner one. Diet has been OK. As I lost 4 pounds from food poisoning and have been pretty good with eating. The nephew will test that alright!
ArrOOoo!

Hey Dude, betcha if you had a belt on like the horse in your picture you'd run like the wind (and sing soprano!)...
