I Told Myself I wasn't Going to Do this But...



OK, I had to tell you this!


I made my first 5k run in months and it was pain free!!!


YES!


It was slow and there was some stopping because though I have had Achilles tendon and toe problems it was my hamstring which gave me the most problems. Whoa Triguy before you jump all over me for not warming up ;) I did my core routine first (which is legs, abs and stretching) and then I walked 5 min - jogged 5 min then walked 5 min again! This was even before the run!!! So there! The hamstring is prolly not used to running so I won't push it...


All in all it was OK. What did I expect after limited running the previous 4 months.


I am happy and I am going to take it real ssssslllooowwwww.



Am I back on the training beam? I hope so. I have done a decent week of 4 spin sessions 1 run session and 5 core sessions (don't start on me I know, where is the swim session???)
I am afraid to put my suit on after the long winter lay over, I don't even know if it will fit :(
