Wow what a week!
Talk about heat, record breaking temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius before the humidex and no precipitation (well there was the humidity). This lead to little or no training though I did play my hockey on Tuesday night (minus one glove) Thanks Goddess ;)
This week was all about moving ssslllooowww. I also was pretty zonked by the combination of heat and pollution. Nothing says a nice day like a brown sky of sludge... Tough to breath, tough to move, tough to "put in anything here"...
On a happy note the humidity seems to have broken and it is cool outside so a cycle or spin is in the works with a run tomorrow.
I was listening to the fitness coach for the Calgary Flames on the radio the other day and (oh yeah it's a hockey team for you uninitiated) and his philosophy for us who seem to have trouble with consistency of exercise or training (not you Darren!) is never more than two days of training and never more than two days off. Especially until you build up a routine!
A wise man once told me "it takes minimum six weeks for something to become a habit!" That is my short term goal :) Maybe just in time for some kinda "race"...
ArrOOoo!
